Commercial Administrator
Location: Barnsley, S75 3DR
Contract type: Permanent, Full-time
Hourly rate: £13.50 dependent on experience
Working Pattern: 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday

About the role
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Commercial Administrator to support our commercial and project teams. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth administration of quotes, contract support and documentation across a range of our green services, from grounds maintenance and landscaping to arboricultural contracted works.

Key Responsibilities:
· Provide full support to the commercial team including shared inbox management, document control and reporting.
· Efficient preparation of valuations, quote creation and tracking response.
· Maintain accurate records for all costing data, any variations and agreed quotations.
· Responsible for following up with clients and forwarding information to relevant parties & teams in a timely manner.
· Ensure thorough Tree Preservation Order (TPO) and Conservation Area (CA) checks are conducted. Followed by submission of applications and communication to local councils.
· Monitor and update project trackers, schedules and commercial reports.
· Working closely with the Contract Manager to plan and schedule works in line with workforce capacity and resource availability.
· Compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
· Ad-hoc general administrative support including filing, data entry and correspondence.

Requirements:
· Strong organisational and time management skills.
· Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy at all times.
· Strong commercial and financial awareness, including ownership of invoicing processes, quote management, revenue tracking, and the implementation of effective controls to ensure timely completion, billing, and recovery of outstanding works.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular, Outlook, Word).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· A team player who can also work independently & use own initiative.
· Ability to multi-task & manage workload volume in a fast paced & demanding environment during peak seasons.
· Knowledge of industry services and terminology beneficial but can be learnt on the job!
