This is a varied and fast-paced role where you'll play a key part in delivering outstanding customer service, processing orders, and supporting customers throughout their journey. The Role
As a Sales Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring customer enquiries, orders, returns, and quotations are handled efficiently and professionally. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver a first-class service while supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone, email, and online channels.
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Taking customer payments and ensuring transactions are completed correctly.
- Managing stock enquiries, returns, and replacement requests.
- Arranging collections and coordinating the return of damaged or faulty goods.
- Taking ownership of customer queries and providing effective solutions.
- Developing a strong understanding of products and services to confidently support customers.
- Identifying opportunities to upsell and promote relevant products and special offers.
- Preparing accurate and competitive quotations.
- Raising purchase orders where required.
- Assisting customers at the trade counter during busy periods.
- Providing general administrative support to the wider team.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in sales order processing.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience using Sage software (essential).
- Experience within technical sales, security products, or a similar industry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
- Strong relationship-building and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing customer expectations and resolving issues effectively.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
- Good administrative and numerical skills.
