This is a varied and fast-paced role where you'll play a key part in delivering outstanding customer service, processing orders, and supporting customers throughout their journey. The Role


As a Sales Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring customer enquiries, orders, returns, and quotations are handled efficiently and professionally. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver a first-class service while supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone, email, and online channels.
  • Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Taking customer payments and ensuring transactions are completed correctly.
  • Managing stock enquiries, returns, and replacement requests.
  • Arranging collections and coordinating the return of damaged or faulty goods.
  • Taking ownership of customer queries and providing effective solutions.
  • Developing a strong understanding of products and services to confidently support customers.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell and promote relevant products and special offers.
  • Preparing accurate and competitive quotations.
  • Raising purchase orders where required.
  • Assisting customers at the trade counter during busy periods.
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider team.

About You


To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in sales order processing.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience using Sage software (essential).
  • Experience within technical sales, security products, or a similar industry.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
  • Strong relationship-building and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing customer expectations and resolving issues effectively.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
  • Good administrative and numerical skills.
