Transport Operator
Location: Stowmarket - IP14 2QU
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 6am - 3pm
Pay Rate: £13.33 per hour

We are currently seeking a proactive and organised Transport Operator to join our busy transport team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong administrative and communication skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

Duties Include:

• Dispatching drivers at the start of their shifts
• Debriefing drivers and collecting paperwork at the end of their routes
• Managing and filing transport paperwork
• Answering driver queries and providing support where needed
• Assisting with the day-to-day transport operation
• Helping ensure the daily transport plan runs smoothly

Requirements:

• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic IT skills
• Previous transport or logistics experience is beneficial but not essential
