🚀 HIRING: Class 2 Cylinder Driver - Coryton CDC

We are seeking a dedicated Class 2 Cylinder Driver to join our team at Coryton CDC on a long-term assignment to cover a core driver's long-term sickness.

The Details

  • Location: Coryton CDC

  • Assignment Dates: 29/06/2026 - 31/12/2026

  • Pay Rate: £41,650 per annum, Hourly Rate £19.41p/h and Overtime paid at £29.12p/h

  • Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 06:00 start

  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Basic)

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 2 HGV vehicles to safely and efficiently deliver gas cylinders to customers across the region.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
  • Accurately complete delivery documentation and maintain records of deliveries and vehicle logs.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cylinders, ensuring proper handling and securement.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during daily operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay compliant with industry standards.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Current CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Valid ADR in Class 2 Packages
  • Previous experience in delivering gas cylinders or similar industrial products is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of UK road regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness to handle the manual aspects of loading and unloading cylinders.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to transportation and handling of gases.
