Job Role: Inventory & POD Coordinator/Traffic Planner
Location - Runcorn, WA7 4EW
Working hours - Initial Seasonal work through to December is Monday to Saturday 04:30 to 14:30 (Opportunity for transition through to Traffic Planner role on a permanent basis - Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 - they are looking at rotating with current planner 07:00 to 15:00 to be confirmed)
Pay Rate: £12.75 to £13.25 per hour depending on experience
(Traffic Planner - Salary of £28,500, Monday to Friday)

Our client is a well-established long-standing company within the Logistics Industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for Career Development into a Traffic Planner position.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisation skills, versatile and confident, good communicator with proven administrative experience and strong Excel skills.

Role Purpose
To manage the accurate movement of inventory in and out of the depot, maintain stock records, and verify Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation on vehicle returns. The role provides a development pathway into a Traffic Planner position within the road haulage operation

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and dispatch inventory, ensuring all stock movements are accurately recorded
  • Conduct inventory checks and stock counts to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Verify deliveries and collections against supporting documentation
  • Check and process Proofs of Delivery (PODs) and investigate any discrepancies
  • Update transport and warehouse management systems within relevant information
  • Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, customers, and transport teams regarding stock movements and POD issues
  • Support compliance with company procedures, health and safety standards, and transport regulations
  • Assist the transport team with basic planning and scheduling activities as part of career development


Skills & Experience

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and colleagues
  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, or transport administration is desirable but not essential
