Logistics Agent / Transport Planner

Location: Ivybridge
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £13.45 per hour

We are seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Agent / Transport Planner to join our clients busy transport team. This is a key role responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining strong communication with drivers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and scheduling vehicle routes efficiently.

• Liaising with drivers throughout the day to ensure timely deliveries and collections.

• Communicating with customers regarding delivery schedules, updates, and any operational issues.

• Monitoring transport activities and resolving any service disruptions.

• Maintaining accurate transport records and system updates.

• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and transport regulations.

• Working closely with internal departments to support operational requirements.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in transport planning, logistics, or a similar operational role.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

• Good IT skills and experience using transport management systems is desirable.

• Ability to build positive relationships with both drivers and customers.
