An established and growing transport consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Transport Planner to join their Fareham-based team. This is a great opportunity to work across a varied project portfolio while developing your technical skills and progressing your career within a supportive environment.
You'll be involved in a wide range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, taking ownership of projects from initial concept through to completion, while working closely with clients, local authorities, and internal teams.
The Role
Manage transport planning projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales and budgets
Prepare technical reports including Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Technical Notes
Analyse transport data to assess trip generation, distribution, and network impact
Produce and review transport drawings such as access layouts, vehicle tracking, and visibility splays
Undertake site visits to assess existing conditions and inform development proposals
Liaise with clients, project teams, and Local Highway Authorities
Support planning applications and contribute to stakeholder engagement activities
Assist with fee proposals and project bids
About You
Degree (or equivalent) in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
Around 2+ years' experience in a transport planning role
Working towards (or keen to work towards) a relevant professional qualification
Strong understanding of UK planning policy, guidance, and design standards
Experience producing high-quality technical reports
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, TRICS, or modelling software beneficial
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
Confident communicator with a proactive and problem-solving approach
