Location: Swindon
Pay Rate: £13.86 + 22% shift allowance
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday Hours: Early shift 7:00 - 15:00 or late shift 15:00 - 23:00

The Manual Visual Inspector is responsible for performing visual inspection of filled vials to ensure product quality and compliance with GMP standards. The role involves detecting and removing defective units based on defined inspection criteria, ensuring that only compliant product proceeds to the next stage of production or distribution.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform manual visual inspection of filled vials under controlled conditions (e.g. appropriate lighting, background, inspection booth)
* Detect and reject vials with visible defects, including but not limited to:
* Particulate matter (visible particles)
* Cosmetic defects (scratches, cracks, chips)
* Fill volume issues
* Container closure integrity concerns
* Follow approved SOPs, batch records, and inspection procedures
* Ensure inspection is performed in accordance with GMP and Data Integrity (DI) principles
* Maintain focus and consistency during inspection to ensure reliability of results
* Correctly segregate accepted and rejected units
* Accurately document inspection results in line with GDP (Good Documentation Practice)
* Report any abnormalities, trends, or concerns to supervision
* Participate in qualification, requalification, and periodic vision checks
* Support continuous improvement and training activities

Required Skills: + years of experience
* Pass visual check
* Elementary (GSCE) mathematics and English

Preferred Skills
* Experience working in pharmaceutical, food or other regulated production operations.
* Attention to detail
* Self-driven
