Manpower Scotland is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Warehouse Labourer to join their busy warehouse operation based in Newbridge, Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a role that offers a great work-life balance through a 4 on 4 off working pattern. The position is initially temporary, with the possibility of extension into a longer-term assignment for the right candidate.

Due to the location of the site and the shift pattern, applicants should carefully consider their transport arrangements before applying. Own transport is highly desirable as public transport options may be limited.

The Role

This is a physically demanding warehouse role involving long shifts and regular manual handling. Candidates must be physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work throughout the day.
Duties will include:

• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Moving stock safely throughout the warehouse
• Manual handling of products
• Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch
• Assisting with goods in and goods out
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the warehouse
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Supporting the warehouse team with general labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse or labouring experience is preferred
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling throughout a 12-hour shift
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Good attention to detail
• Own transport is highly desirable due to the location and working hours
