Role Purpose
Provide contractor control and compliance support across the site, ensuring all contractors are authorised, documented, briefed and compliant with site safety, security and contractor control requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify contractor bookings and ensure all required documentation is in place before access is granted.
- Conduct compliance checks against RAMS, risk assessments and site requirements.
- Deliver contractor inductions and safety briefings.
- Maintain accurate contractor records and compliance logs.
- Coordinate with contractor sponsors, hosts and escorts.
- Ensure contractors comply with site safety and security requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in contractor control, contractor management, facilities administration, site operations or a compliance-focused role.
- Strong understanding of contractor compliance processes including:
- RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
- Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
- Contractor authorisation and access processes
- Documentation review and compliance verification
- Experience working in a regulated, safety critical or secure environment.
- Ability to review documentation and identify omissions, errors or compliance concerns.
- Strong administration and record management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience liaising with contractors, hosts, site teams and other stakeholders.
- Confident delivering safety briefings and communicating site requirements.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and consistently follow established procedures.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous Contractor Controller experience.
- Experience supporting contractor management on a defence, aviation, MOD or industrial site.
- Understanding of permit to work systems.
- Experience of site access control and security procedures.
- Reception or front of house experience.
- Business Administration or Customer Service qualification.
