Final Inspector

Role Title: Final Inspector

Duration: 6 Months - Extension Available

Location: Coventry

Rate: £22.48p/h PAYE

Role Purpose:

To inspect a variety of product within the Thermal Value Stream to confirm conformance and control any non-conformance through relevant procedure.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Inspection of parts (from component parts to full assemblies) in line with company procedures and documentation such as work instructions, engineering drawings, and inspection control plans.
2. Designated Quality Release (DQR) of parts to customer expectations.
3. Ability to read drawings & specifications and relate them to the product to determine conformity.
4. Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance GD&T
5. To be flexible to cover the full scope of skills in order to meet the needs of the whole business
6. To work under time sensitive targets and goals that ensures product flows efficiently through the business.
7. Ability to use manual & machine inspection measuring equipment, typically calipers, micrometers, faro arm, XRF technology and hardness testing.
8. The ability to raise NCR/QN documentation with clear problem statements.
9. Interact with business ERP system and data collection software including SAP, Visual FAI and any other business tool.
10. Maintain and carry out Safety, Quality, TPM and 5 s activity.
11. Ability and Attitude to develop and improve processes via Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving
12. Ability to plan and conduct product process audits.
13. Ability to lead basic problem-solving and team improvement activities.
14. Operate as part of a team that makes the most effective use of Inspection resource.

17. Attend start of shift briefings and other team meetings when required
