Maintenance Electrician
Location: Worcestershire
Salary: £30,866 - £36,135 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 39 hours per week, working a 1 in 3 weekend shift pattern (15% shift allowance applicable)
Additional Requirements: Participation in an on-call rota for responsive maintenance activities
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join a facilities management team in Evesham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a secure and safety-critical environment, supporting the delivery of planned, preventative, and reactive electrical maintenance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational while contributing to the overall performance of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and preventative electrical maintenance activities.
- Diagnose faults and undertake effective repairs to electrical systems and equipment.
- Complete minor electrical installation works and like-for-like replacements.
- Perform inspection and testing of electrical systems in accordance with BS7671 regulations, ensuring all results are accurately recorded.
- Ensure electrical systems are maintained to the highest standards of safety and compliance.
- Support the Responsible Person and Authorised Person as required.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Complete maintenance records and associated administration accurately and promptly.
- Support contractor escorting duties and other operational tasks as required.
- Participate in the on-call rota and weekend shift arrangements.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation, or equivalent qualification.
- BS7671 18th Edition qualification (17th Edition candidates will also be considered, with support to achieve 18th Edition).
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Knowledge of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable working at height when required.
- Basic IT skills.
Desirable
- Experience with fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems.
- Experience working within secure, regulated, or critical operational environments.
Security Clearance
Due to the nature of the environment, successful candidates will be required to obtain relevant security clearance before commencing employment. Support will be provided throughout the clearance process.
