National Inventory Manager

Are you ready to lead strategic demand planning and optimise inventory across multiple sites? Our client, a reputable organisation in the engineering sector, is hiring for a talented National Inventory Manager to oversee their stock control operations from their Manchester base, with UK travel to other sites.

What you'll be doing:
* Lead demand forecasting and order planning with cross-functional teams to prevent stockouts and overstocking, balancing cost and responsiveness.
* Design and maintain stock management systems, ERP processes, and KPI dashboards for end-to-end visibility.
* Own inventory costs, optimise working capital, and advise on cost reduction strategies.
* Conduct regular inventory audits, ensure compliance, and manage the annual stock take.
* Build and lead a high-performing inventory team, managing stock decisions across multiple sites and subcontractors.
* Develop inventory dashboards, KPI reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
* Manage vendor relationships and monitor bulk stock orders to minimise obsolescence and maintain accurate records.

What you'll bring:
* Extensive experience managing multi-site inventory in a global or complex organisation.
* Strong expertise with ERP, SAP, or MRP systems.
* Deep understanding of stock control and inventory optimisation.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
* Proven operational decision-making skills and experience setting KPIs to reduce lead times.
* Excellent communication skills to convey insights clearly to stakeholders.
* Flexibility to travel frequently and adapt to a dynamic environment.
