About the Opportunity
A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join a major programme within the energy sector. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a large architectural team delivering complex, nationally significant infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of generic product designs and site-specific studies, helping to shape innovative solutions from concept through to technical design. Working alongside architects, engineers and specialist consultants, they will lead packages of work, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and engage directly with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural work packages and building design elements within a large-scale programme.
- Support senior team members in managing architectural and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Develop designs through RIBA Stages 0 to 4, from briefing and concept development through to technical design.
- Coordinate closely with engineering and technical disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Produce strategy reports, technical documentation and design presentations.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to establish project requirements and support design development.
- Manage design coordination activities across multiple building typologies and project workstreams.
- Support programme delivery, design management and project planning activities.
- Mentor and coordinate architects, assistants and wider project team members where required.
Requirements
- ARB Registered Architect with Part 3 qualification.
- 1 to 5 years' post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex projects.
- Experience working within highly regulated sectors such as energy, infrastructure, defence, healthcare, aviation or similar.
- Strong understanding of project delivery across all RIBA stages.
- Excellent report writing, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills with a client-facing approach.
