Rate: £21.07/hour

Our Client is hiring a Quality Inspector to undertake inspections across the value stream, helping ensure only conforming parts progress through the business-efficiently and to time.

What you'll be doing:
* Inspect parts from components through to full assemblies, following procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings and inspection control plans
* Read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications to confirm conformity
* Apply understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
* Use manual and machine inspection measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, FARO arm, CMM, XRF technology and hardness testing)
* Raise NCR/QN documentation with clear problem statements
* Use business systems and data collection tools (including SAP and Visual FAI, plus others as required)
* Support continuous improvement by helping improve the inspection process
* Plan and conduct product process audits
* Lead basic problem-solving activities and work closely with quality, engineering and manufacturing to keep product flowing

What you'll bring:

• Apprentice engineering
• An engineering apprenticeship is desirable, although training will be given.
• 1 year's similar experience in an engineering manufacturing facility.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
• Ability to operate various inspection and test equipment.
• Demonstrable ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Good oral and written communication skills are required.
• Previous experience as a quality inspector within Aerospace.
