Pay Rate: £15.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Manpower is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Assembler to join their manufacturing team based in Stonehouse.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with assembly experience to join a well-established manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for assembling, testing and troubleshooting a range of products and tool assemblies, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.
The Role
As an Assembler, you will play a key role in the production process, working from engineering drawings and assembly procedures to build and test products accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures and work instructions.
- Follow written and verbal instructions to complete assembly tasks.
- Identify components and utilise appropriate hand tools, fixtures and assembly equipment.
- Accurately assemble products and tool assemblies to specification.
- Conduct testing of assembled products and tool assemblies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to products and assemblies.
- Record labour transactions and maintain accurate production records within the business system.
- Complete documentation relating to work carried out.
- Perform daily 5S activities and contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on machinery using written procedures and checklists.
- Comply with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Wear the required PPE at all times.
- Complete mandatory training programmes, including health and safety-related courses.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have previous assembly experience and a strong attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately from technical instructions and drawings.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience within a manufacturing, assembly or production environment.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and technical instructions.
- Competent in the use of hand tools and assembly equipment.
- Experience testing assembled products and identifying faults.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Soldering and Technical Skills
- Basic soldering skills, with intermediate-level experience advantageous.
- Knowledge of soldering and flux theory.
- Experience carrying out soldering activities including:
- Tinning
- Splicing
- Jenkin spring soldering
- Turret soldering
- Crimping
- Ability to select the correct tools, solder types and fixtures for assembly tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School education or equivalent.
- Vocational or trade school qualification preferred.
- Relevant manufacturing, assembly or engineering qualifications would be advantageous.
