Maintenance Operative / Site Cleaner

Location: Farnham
Pay: £12.71 - £14.00 per hour DOE
Hours: Part-Time - 24 hours per week
Working Pattern: 3 days per week, 8 hours per day

Manpower is recruiting for a Maintenance Operative / Site Cleaner to join an established business based in Farnham.

This is a varied, hands-on position combining general maintenance, basic handyman duties and cleaning. We're looking for someone practical and reliable who takes pride in keeping a workplace clean, safe and well maintained.

You don't need to be a qualified trades person, we're looking for someone who is hands-on, proactive and happy to turn their hand to different jobs around the site.

What will you be doing?

You'll support the general upkeep and maintenance of the site, with duties including:

• General cleaning of workplace and communal areas.

• Keeping internal and external areas clean and tidy.

• Painting and touching up walls, doors and other areas when required.

• Carrying out basic repairs and general handyman tasks.

• Fixing or replacing minor items around the site.

• Identifying maintenance issues and reporting anything requiring specialist attention.

• Moving equipment, furniture or materials when required.

• Supporting general site upkeep and housekeeping.

• Ensuring maintenance and cleaning tasks are completed safely and to a good standard.

• Assisting with other general duties around the site when required.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who is practical, dependable and comfortable working independently.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, cleaning, caretaking or a similar hands-on role.

• Basic DIY and handyman skills.

• Confidence carrying out straightforward painting and minor repairs.

• Good attention to detail.

• A proactive approach to work.

• The ability to spot jobs that need doing and take the initiative.

• A good understanding of workplace health and safety.

• The ability to manage your own workload.

• A reliable and flexible approach.

• The ability to carry out a physically active role.

Previous experience as a Maintenance Operative, Facilities Assistant, Handyman, Caretaker, Site Operative or Cleaner would be beneficial, but we're also happy to consider candidates with the right practical skills and attitude.
