Salary: £15.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Manpower is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Manufacturing Test Technician to join their established manufacturing team in Stonehouse.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician with a background in electrical or electronic engineering to join a growing business specialising in the manufacture, testing and repair of electromechanical products. Working within a production environment, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet quality and performance standards through testing, fault finding and repair activities.
The Role
As a Manufacturing Test Technician, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of electrical and electromechanical assemblies. You will work closely with assemblers, manufacturing technicians and supervisors to support production targets and maintain high quality standards.
Key duties will include:
- Carrying out functional testing of electronic assemblies and PWAs.
- Diagnosing faults and repairing electrical and electromechanical products.
- Following work instructions, routings, work orders and technical documentation.
- Maintaining and repairing production test equipment.
- Assisting with assembly, calibration and testing activities.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Performing wire preparation, stripping, crimping, harness repair and termination.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
- Using SAP and other MRP systems where required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong electrical or electronic engineering background along with hands-on experience in testing and fault finding.
You will ideally have:
- An Electrical or Electronic Engineering qualification such as NVQ, ONC, HNC or HND.
- Experience testing and debugging electronic or electromechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of low-voltage and high-voltage systems.
- Experience using test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies.
- Basic soldering, wiring, crimping and assembly skills.
- The ability to read and work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience maintaining and repairing test equipment.
- A positive and proactive approach to teamwork.
Desirable Skills
- Experience using SAP or similar MRP systems.
- Knowledge of IPC standards.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience.
- Experience working with hydraulic or mechanical assemblies.
- Exposure to automated machinery and equipment.
