Our client is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to support a range of process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives across their organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a global manufacturing environment, working with a variety of teams and stakeholders on projects that deliver real business impact.

The Role

Working across multiple departments, you'll help teams understand, document and improve existing processes. You'll engage with stakeholders across the business, analyse operational data and support initiatives designed to improve efficiency, consistency and performance.

This is a highly collaborative role that will provide exposure to both business operations and manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with teams across the business to understand current ways of working and key challenges
  • Map and document existing processes using structured process flows
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate collaboration between teams and encourage best practice sharing
  • Analyse quality and operational data to identify trends and support improvement activities
  • Create dashboards and visualisations to monitor performance and key business metrics
  • Support the development and alignment of KPIs across departments
  • Participate in workshops and process review activities
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure changes are practical, sustainable and successfully adopted

About You

We're looking for someone who is naturally inquisitive, enjoys understanding how things work and is passionate about continuous improvement.

You will ideally have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or be currently studying towards one
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A genuine interest in process improvement and operational excellence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders across different teams
  • A proactive and organised approach to work
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • An interest in data analysis and business performance
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools would be advantageous but is not essential

An engineering background is welcome but not required. Candidates from a variety of academic disciplines will be considered.

Location

  • Primarily office-based, with the option to work from home one day per week following successful completion of probation, subject to business requirements.
