We are looking for a Supplier Quality Technician for our client, a well know manufacturer based in Ashford

As a Supplier Quality Technician , you will report to our Global Quality department and report to our Supplier Quality Manager. You will be in charge of carrying out administrative tasks and analyzing raw materials in order to support the activities of the Supplier Quality Team.

Responsibilities :

• Reception of packages
• Perform a variety of quality control related measurements (e.g. chemical tests to determine pH, acid values) using wet chemical methods such as titration etc.
• Perform a variety of quality control related measurements (e.g. chromatography, GC-MS, infra-red, ICP)
• Perform a variety of quality control related measurements (e.g. specific gravity, refractive index, melting point, flashpoint)
• Follow-up of the analyses of new samples for supplier validation
• Perform various analytical and quality checks and enter the results into SAP - update the AVAP/PSS tracking file
• Sending samples to subsidiaries/suppliers (
• Request stock samples as required and additional analysis
• Perform tasks in accordance with procedures and work instructions as well as instructions received from the manager

Ideal Candidate

• High School Diploma within a technical field such as Chemistry, Biology, etc. with experience in chemistry or laboratory techniques and general equivalency development (GED) is required.

• good knowledge of physico-chemical analyses such as density, refraction, Karl Fischer method, colorimetry and gas chromatography. Knowledge of olfaction is an asset;

• good knowledge of chemical substances and their dangers;
• proficient in IT tools such as Microsoft Office or Google App., SAP and Chromeleon;
