Rate: £16 - £17 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Workshop Technician to join a busy and expanding workshop team supporting major events and infrastructure projects across the UK.

You will help prepare, inspect and maintain large volumes of electrical cables and equipment before they are dispatched to customer sites and events. With over 40,000 cables in circulation, this is a hands-on role offering a great opportunity to develop your electrical experience within a specialist environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Inspecting electrical cables for damage and wear
* Carrying out electrical testing
* Replacing cable ends and carrying out minor repairs
* Repackaging and preparing cables for dispatch
* Manual handling of cables and equipment
* Maintaining workshop standards and safe working practices
* Supporting the wider workshop team with daily operational activities

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within an electrical or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase harmonised cable colours.
• Experience carrying out electrical testing, cable assembly, or similar workshop-based electrical work.
• Recently qualified electrical apprentices, electrical improvers, and junior electrical technicians are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates looking to develop and expand their practical, hands-on experience within the electrical industry.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy workshop environment.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills.
