Temporary Housekeeping Team Leader / Housekeeping Supervisor

Oxford | £16.00 per hour
Full-Time | Temporary Contract (2-3 Months)

Our client, a prestigious Oxford-based educational institution, is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Team Leader / Supervisor to support their housekeeping operation during a busy conference and accommodation period.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who can quickly integrate into an established team, support existing Team Leaders, and provide cover during holidays and peak turnover weekends.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:00
• One Saturday every two weeks during turnover weekends
• Temporary contract for approximately 2-3 months

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day supervision of housekeeping staff.
• Allocate workloads and assist with daily cleaning schedules.
• Carry out room and area inspections to maintain high standards.
• Ensure guest rooms, student accommodation and public areas are prepared to specification.
• Support accommodation turnover weekends and conference operations.
• Provide Team Leader holiday and absence cover.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report stock requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Liaise with accommodation, maintenance and conference teams.
• Assist with training and supporting housekeeping staff.

About You

To be considered, you must have previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor, Senior Housekeeper or Team Leader within a hotel or college environment.

You will also have:

• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience conducting quality inspections.
• Good communication skills.
• A flexible, hands-on approach to work.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
