Job Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery to perform specific operations or produce parts according to specifications.
  • Set up machines, load raw materials, and ensure proper functioning before commencing production runs.
  • Manually operate machines during production, monitoring performance and quality.
  • Unload finished products from machines and prepare them for next stages or packaging.
  • Follow written or verbal instructions and adhere to general operating procedures.
  • Identify potential issues or problems during operation and escalate as necessary.
  • Maintain control over product quality, ensuring standards are consistently met.
  • Perform basic data entry and utilise computer systems for recording production data.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with health and safety regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating production machinery is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
  • Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as required.
  • Health and safety awareness in a manufacturing environment.
