Temp to Perm

Monday to Friday - Occassional Saturday OT

£16.63 Per hour

£24.95 after 42.5 hours

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 2 vehicles to safely and efficiently deliver gas cylinders to various customer locations within the designated area.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and securing of gas cylinders.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cylinders, ensuring correct handling procedures are followed.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in delivering gas cylinders or similar hazardous goods is highly desirable.
  • Relevant CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to the transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy cylinders safely.
  • Proactive attitude with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
