Manpower is recruiting on behalf of Aston Martin for a Technician, Torque Assurance & Calibration to join the Quality team at the Gaydon manufacturing facility.

Working within the Metrology team, you will support production operations by ensuring torque-related processes meet the highest levels of compliance and quality.

About the Role
As a Technician, Torque Assurance & Calibration, you will be responsible for supporting torque assurance activities across the manufacturing environment, helping to eliminate torque-related quality concerns and ensuring robust process controls are maintained.

The role involves carrying out torque audits, analysing results, reporting non-conformances and supporting investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. You will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance with quality standards.

You will also support calibration activities, ensuring tooling and measurement equipment remain accurate, compliant and available for operational use.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct torque audits across manufacturing processes and production lines.
• Monitor, analyse and report audit findings, escalating non-compliant results where required.
• Support investigations, risk assessments and corrective action activities.
• Maintain accurate audit records and databases.
• Assist with tooling and equipment calibration activities.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and other key stakeholders to improve process performance and product quality.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to torque management and process control.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for candidates with experience in a manufacturing, quality or engineering environment and a strong understanding of torque principles and mechanical assembly processes.

You should be able to demonstrate:

• Knowledge of bolted joint assembly processes, tooling and measurement equipment.
• Understanding of residual torque measurement techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.

Experience in tooling calibration, statistical analysis of torque data and torque audit systems such as Crane would be advantageous. A mechanical engineering qualification is desirable but not essential.
