Litter Picker - Highways Maintenance (Days & Nights)

Working Locations: A120/A12 Corridor, including Colchester, Braintree and Bishop's Stortford
Pay: £12.71 per hour (Days) | £19.06 per hour (Nights)
Shifts: Days (07:30-16:30) and Nights (19:30-04:30)
Start: Immediate

We are currently recruiting Litter Pickers to support highways maintenance projects across Essex and Hertfordshire. Successful candidates will be based out of our Cambridge depot, where you will collect company vehicles before travelling to site locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable individuals looking for immediate work, with a minimum of 2 weeks available initially and the potential for ongoing assignments.

Important

While our current requirement is predominantly night shifts, candidates must be fully flexible and able to work both day and night shifts as work schedules change and future projects are secured.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Litter picking along highways, verges and roadside areas
• Removing debris and waste from designated work zones
• Supporting the maintenance and cleanliness of the road network
• Working safely alongside traffic management operations
• Following site health and safety procedures at all times
• Loading and unloading equipment from company vehicles
• Reporting hazards, damaged infrastructure or issues found on site
• Working effectively as part of a highways maintenance team

Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence required
• Own transport to travel to the Cambridge depot
• No more than 3 points on licence
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to commit to both day and night shifts when required
• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious
• SSSTS qualification advantageous (enhanced rates available)
