Job Responsibilities
- Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle safely and efficiently in line with all relevant UK regulations.
- Complete daily delivery and collection runs across assigned routes, ensuring timely service.
- Carry out vehicle checks before and after shifts, reporting any defects or concerns promptly.
- Secure loads correctly and follow safe loading/unloading procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, including delivery documentation and any required paperwork.
- Provide a professional service to customers and site staff, representing the business at all times.
- Follow company policies and safe working practices, including traffic management and site rules.
- Adhere to tachograph and driving time regulations, ensuring compliance throughout each shift.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Valid UK Category C1 (7.5 tonne) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph card (where applicable) and strong understanding of tachograph rules.
- 3.5t Driver maybe considered depending on experience
- Good knowledge of UK road safety and driving standards, with a safety-first approach.
- Proven experience driving 7.5 tonne vehicles (or similar) in a multi-drop or delivery environment.
- Towing experience would be beneficial
- Ability to plan routes effectively and manage time to meet delivery schedules.
- Strong attention to detail for paperwork, vehicle checks and load security.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with customers and colleagues.
- Good level of fitness due to the units being moved
- Willingness to work reliably as part of a team and follow instructions accurately
