Job Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 (C) vehicle safely and efficiently in line with all relevant legislation and company procedures.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Deliver goods to customers on time, following planned routes and delivery schedules.
• Secure loads correctly and ensure vehicles are prepared for safe transit.
• Maintain accurate records, including delivery documentation and tachograph compliance.
• Provide a professional service to customers and colleagues at all times.
• Adhere to all health and safety requirements, including site rules and safe loading/unloading practices.
• Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding progress, delays, and any issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid digital tachograph card.
• Good knowledge of UK road safety and driving regulations.
• Experience driving a Class 2 vehicle (or demonstrable capability in a similar role) desirable
• Newly passed welcome, will need to have aspects of delivery driving experience
• Strong attention to detail for vehicle checks, documentation, and load security.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the transport team.
• Customer-focused attitude and professional manner.
• Basic understanding of tachograph rules and compliance requirements.
• Good time management skills to meet delivery schedules reliably.
