Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installation, testing, and fault-finding to a high standard.
  • Inspect electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Complete remedial work and repairs efficiently, maintaining safe working practices at all times.
  • Perform electrical testing and verification, recording results accurately.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with current industry standards and company procedures.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a clean and safe standard.
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders regarding job progress and outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualified Electrician with relevant UK experience in installation and maintenance.
  • Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds / NVQ equivalent) suitable for UK electrical work.
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations knowledge and practical application.
  • Testing and inspection capability, including experience with EICR processes.
  • Strong understanding of BS 7671 and safe working practices.
  • Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Competence using electrical test equipment (e.g., insulation resistance testing and continuity testing).
  • Good fault-finding skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing electrical issues.
  • Commitment to health and safety, including safe isolation and working procedures.
  • Full UK driving licence (where required for site attendance and travel).

Due to the location of work candidates will need to pass a full vetting process. 39 hours working on a rota and 1 in 3 weekends.
