Duration: 12 Months

Rate: £80p/h via Umbrella

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Test Equipment Development Engineer to support the development and delivery of test solutions for Typhoon products. The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing and managing requirements, developing and maintaining technical documentation, supporting technical discussions, and collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop test equipment and associated solutions for Typhoon products.
  • Capture, analyse, and document technical requirements.
  • Create, update, review, and release technical documentation in line with project and quality requirements.
  • Support technical discussions with engineering teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Provide regular progress updates and technical reports to Technical Leads and Project Managers.
  • Liaise with external suppliers to coordinate design, development, and delivery activities.
  • Ensure all documentation and requirements are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the test equipment development process.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Requirements capture and management.
  • Documentation creation, updates, reviews, and release.
  • Supporting technical discussions and reviews.
  • Reporting project progress and technical status to Technical Leads and Project Managers.
  • Working closely with suppliers to support development activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in Test Equipment Development.
  • Experience creating, managing, and maintaining technical requirements.
  • Strong documentation skills, including creation, updating, reviewing, and releasing engineering documentation.
  • Experience working with external suppliers and managing technical interactions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

  • Experience working within engineering, electronics, aerospace, defence, or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes and product development lifecycles.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams.
