Junior Finance Controller (French Speaking)

Location: London (onsite)
Salary: £50,000 + Benefits (Flexible for the right candidate)

About the Role

We are seeking a French-speaking Junior Finance Controller to join a growing international finance team supporting operations across multiple African countries. This is an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified or fully qualified finance professional looking to develop their career within a dynamic, multicultural organisation with global operations.

Working closely with the Senior Finance Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting accounting activities across multiple entities, and building strong relationships with finance teams based internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Finance Controller with financial reporting and day-to-day finance operations.
  • Analyse and reconcile accounting records across multiple international entities.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial information.
  • Review and oversee General Ledger (GL) transactions across multiple countries.
  • Work closely with operational teams, translating financial information into clear business insights.
  • Liaise with finance and accounting teams across African subsidiaries.
  • Support the continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and controls.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial activities as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • A recognised accounting qualification, either part-qualified or fully qualified.
  • A minimum of 3 years' finance or accounting experience (5 years preferred).
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across international teams.
  • A proactive, organised, and flexible approach to work.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, particularly across African countries, following the successful completion of probation.
