HR Adminsitrator

Location: Team Valley Gateshead
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract until March 2027
Hourly Rate:£17.58 per hour
Start Date: Immediate / Short Notice Preferred
We are looking for an experienced HR Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced HR team on a contract basis until March 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional with strong administrative skills and experience handling a high volume of employee queries within a generalist HR environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR administration and maintain accurate employee records.
• Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing timely and professional advice.
• Support employee relations processes, including grievance and disciplinary cases, through initial triage and administration.
• Prepare HR documentation, correspondence, and reports.
• Maintain and update HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Support the full employee life-cycle, including on-boarding, changes to employment, and off-boarding activities.
• Assist the wider HR team with general administrative duties and ongoing HR projects as required.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience within a generalist HR Administration or HR Assistant position.
• Experience managing a high volume of HR queries in a fast-paced environment.
• A good understanding of grievance and disciplinary procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
