Sous Chef
Location: Hamble, SO31
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 48 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 (Plus tronc)

As Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality dishes and smooth kitchen operations. You'll take ownership of the kitchen in the head chefs absence, support junior team members, and work closely with the Head Chef to uphold the venue's excellent reputation for both dining and events.

What You'll Be Doing

• 
  Leading the kitchen and ensuring all dishes meet required standards.
• 
  Supporting, training, and motivating junior chefs.
• 
  Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
• 
  Assisting with stock control, ordering, and menu development.
• 
  Deputising for the Head Chef when needed.

What We're Looking For

• 
  Proven experience as a Sous Chef, or a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up.
• 
  Confident working independently in a busy, quality-focused kitchen.
• 
  A positive attitude and strong communication skills with a collaborative approach.
• 
  Solid knowledge of food safety, allergen control, and kitchen best practices.
• 
  Passion for showcasing fresh, seasonal ingredients and maintaining consistency under pressure.
