Job Responsibilities
- Operate production machines to perform operations and produce parts in line with defined instructions and operating procedures.
- Follow a production schedule and work within a small team/crew to meet daily output targets.
- Set up machines and prepare them for production runs.
- Load raw materials into machines and ensure correct setup for the required product.
- Manually operate production equipment as required, monitoring the process throughout.
- Unload finished product from the machine and prepare items for the next stage of production.
- Work from written or verbal instructions and general operating procedures, applying judgement and selectivity where needed.
- Maintain product quality by monitoring output and identifying issues/problems, escalating to support where assistance is required.
- Complete basic data entry and computer tasks as required to support production records and traceability.
- Work safely at all times, following company safety procedures and safe working practices as the number one priority.
- Demonstrate reliable timekeeping and a strong commitment to following instructions and working to your best ability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- FLT licence (Counterbalance or equivalent) and experience operating production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills to operate and support industrial machinery safely and effectively.
- Ability to work with moderate work direction and identify issues/problems, knowing when to seek assistance.
- Experience working in a quality-focused manufacturing setting where consistency and attention to detail are essential.
- Basic data entry and computer proficiency to complete production-related records.
- Strong understanding of safe working practices and the ability to work reliably in a production environment.
