Production Worker

CNC Turner (Night Shift)
Location: Yeovil
Hours/Shift: 34.5 hours per week (Sun 22:00-07:00; Mon-Fri 00:00-07:00)
Pay: £16.13-£24.20 per hour
Ready to get hands-on with CNC turning on aerospace-critical components? Our Client is hiring a skilled CNC Turner for night shift in Yeovil, working within an empowered team to meet delivery targets to the required standard.
What you'll be doing:
* Centre lathe turning-manufacturing parts from start to finish to aerospace specifications
* Setting and running bespoke work on 2-axis lathes
* Operator Control of Quality (OCQ), including stamping to confirm assemblies meet Honeywell and customer standards
* Interpreting engineering drawings and following manufacturing instructions and documentation procedures
* Working through a lean environment to help achieve on-time delivery
* Using hand measuring equipment to support accurate checking (e.g. vernier, micrometer, thread and plug gauges)
* Working safely and in line with company processes, while keeping a strong focus on quality and targets
What you'll bring:
* Knowledge of CNC and/or manual turning or related machining experience
* Experience/comfort using hand measuring equipment such as vernier, micrometer, thread and plug gauges
* A strong safety mindset-understanding the significance of safety-critical work in aerospace
* Teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to use initiative
* PC literacy
* Continuous improvement mindset
Additional information:
* Preference for Mazatrol/Mazak experience (but not required)
* This role is subject to meeting eligibility conditions for Export Control Licenses and Technical Assistant Agreements
* Mandatory checks include Full BPSS screening (including proof of Legal Right to Work), a UK DBS criminal records check, and drugs screening
